B. J. (Billy Joe) Thomas (born August 7, 1942) in Hugo, Oklahoma and grew up in Houston, Texas, is a country singer. Fallowing the brief period of time by using The Triumphs, Thomas began the solo career by having a hit cover of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" (Hank Williams) in 1966, however was unable to achieve massive mainstream profits until 1968's (1968 in music) "Hooked on a Feeling" & 1969's (1969 in music) "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" (Burt Bacharach & Hal David).
Per 1970s, Thomas had switched to Paramount Records and released "(Hey Won't You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song", his 2nd popular hit. His string of hits continued, peaking within 1984 with "Two Car Garage", "Whatever Happened to Old Fashioned Love" & "New Looks from an Old Lover" (look at 1984 in music). In the 1990s, Thomas has continued to tour and record to the diminishing mainstream audience, though he has encountered newly fans inside contemporary Christian music.
